Nancy Bonell (Nee Mcdonough) - Part 1

comment from Judy Benson : Nancy Bonell was married to Cedric Bonell (an Audlem family)- they ran a successful agricultural engineering workshop & yard on the site of what is now Little Heath Close. They lived in Heathfield House next to it, which was extended in the 1970s to provide a spacious family home. They had three children. When the business finished, the land on which it was based was sold for housing. The Bonell's carried on in a much smaller way on Moseleys' old yard for a few years, until Cedric's retirement. Nancy had a brother Vincent who was a Director at Rolls Royce in Crewe, he had lived in Nantwich. In the 1980s he moved to Audlem but had not been in the village long before tragedy struck. He was killed when the dumper truck he was driving when clearing his garden, reversed into a tree, breaking his neck.
