Hi Lites Band 1960'S - Part 1

Hi Celia, bit of history on the band, firstly on no 1 pic, top left is Albie Guildford, lead guitar, then Graham Snape, rythym guitar, Derek Huntbach drummer and myself, bass. I started the group in Audlem in the early 60s, did most practice in the methodist Chapel schoolroom, then looked after by Harry Poole who lived at the bottom of school lane, lads from Nantwich came regularly but they were not what I really wanted, Derek joined as drummer and then we needed a decent guitar player so we coaxed Graham to join us from Woore, he then brought in Albie, both exceptional musicians, we progressed well and played at such as the Crystal Ballroom Newcastle, many clubs as far away as Liverpool even visiting the Cavern, we broke up a few years later and eventually Derek and I reformed as Derek and Giff and were actually far more successful Photo provided by Ted Edgerton thank you
